• Polestar just recently showed off the Polestar 5 that is being made at an event.
  • It looks like the Precept idea, even though the details are ready to be made.
  • Production of the new EV will begin in 2025.

Compared to the Polestar Precept concept, which served as its initial inspiration, the Polestar 5 appears to be more committed to taking to the road. At its recent Polestar Day event, Volvo‘s electric vehicle spinoff showed off a production version of the Polestar 5 that had never been seen before. It had realistic-looking headlights and taillights, side mirrors, wheels, and tires that were the right size.

The 5, like the Polestar 4 that was just released, doesn’t have a back window. Polestar says that it will make up for what looks like a terrible visibility problem with a digital rearview mirror, cameras, and other sensors. We’re eager to see how these new Polestar vehicles operate in the real world when we get an opportunity to test drive them without windows.

Polestar has told us a lot about the 5, so it will be a strong rival to the Porsche Taycan. According to Polestar, the bike’s two 884 horsepower motors and 103.0 kWh battery pack will allow it to travel at least 300 miles. We will know more about the Polestar 5 for a while longer, and we still need to learn how the inside is organized. Polestar says they will start making the 5 in 2025, and it will cost at least $100,000.
