• The base price of the Nissan Ariya has been lowered to $40,980 in 2024.
  • The choice was made because Ford had also lowered its prices, which made the market for electric cars more competitive.
  • Ariya versions all the way down to the entry-level model have had their prices cut by up to $6000.

As the business of selling electric SUVs gets more competitive, price wars get worse. Nissan just dropped the price of the 2024 Ariya by $3,600. The base model now costs $40,980.

The price of a Nissan Ariya EV could drop a lot, reaching $6,000 in 2024

The Ariya’s front-wheel drive Engage trim level, which comes with a 63.0-kWh battery pack, is included in this basic price. Even better, prices have gone down for the rest of the 2024 Ariya line. If you choose the $42,580 Venture+ trim, which costs only $1600 more and has an 87.0-kWh battery pack, the range figures go up to 304 miles. This bigger battery pack is also offered in the Evolve+ ($45,580) and Empower+ ($49,080) trims.

The more powerful e-4ORCE system with two motors and all-wheel drive costs an extra $4000 and comes with different finish levels. As of now, the most powerful e-4ORCE Platinum+ car, with 389 horsepower and all-wheel drive, costs $55,580, which is $6,000 less than before.

Even though the Ariya can’t get the $7500 federal tax credit because it’s made in Japan, the general price drops help Nissan’s electric car compete. However, it still has a lot to offer in comparison to cars like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, whose price dropped recently and is now as low as $41,695 for 2023 models.

Nissan said that once a NACS adapter is available later this year, owners of the Ariyas will be able to charge their electric cars at Tesla’s Supercharger network. From 2025 on, the Ariya will always ship with the NACS port.
