• You can now place an order for the 2024 F-150 Lightning again, and many models, including the XLT, Flash, and Lariat, are cheaper than they were before.
  • The price of the new Flash trim has dropped the most, by $5,500. It will go from $75,590 to $70,090 at the beginning of 2024.
  • In line with the price changes in the middle of the year, the Lightning got a few updates, such as a new heat pump system and a better screen charge display.

Ford has reopened the order books for the 2024 F-150 Lightning, which means that shoppers can now get the electric truck in three trim levels for less money. The prices of three of the Lightning’s five trim levels have gone down, but the prices of the base Pro and top-level Platinum have stayed the same.

The price of the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning will go down by $5,500

The Flash model, which is brand new for 2024, has the biggest price drop. It goes from $75,590 to $70,090, a $5,500 savings. The price changes for the XLT and Lariat models are still big, even though they are smaller. The base price for the XLT is now $65,090, and the price for the Lariat with a longer-range battery is $79,090. These changes lead to $2000 and $2500 less in income. The prices for the Pro and Platinum trims have stayed the same since the beginning of the model year. They are still $57,090 and $87,090, respectively.

Some extra information

The price changes are related to other changes that Lightning has made to its equipment line. The Lightning now has a gas injection heat pump system that keeps the battery temperature in check. The instrument panel now has better-charging information. The display now shows the current charge state, charging rates, and the time it is expected to take to finish.

The only version that still needs to come with Ford’s pulling technology package is the base Pro. Upper model levels now come with Blue Cruise technology, which lets you drive without using your hands. The last few changes are walk-away locking, keyless entry, and a function that turns on the ProPower generator when the door is unlocked.

The price of the F-150 Lightning has always fluctuated. It has changed a lot and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. This could be because Ford raised prices three times in five months in 2022 or cut prices for the electric pickup by $10,000 all at once in 2023.

Ford announced months ago that it would cut the number of F-150 Lightning trucks it makes starting April 1. This latest change came after that announcement. Ford is making these changes to its production to “match production to customer demand.” At the time, Ford said that it thought sales of electric vehicles (EVs) would continue to rise this year, though it had been slower than it had thought.
