For the 2025 model year, internal combustion engine cars will be made again after the new electric Dodge Charger comes out at the end of this year. For the Charger Sixpack, the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine will come in two different versions: one with 420 horsepower and one with 550 horsepower. The gas-powered Charger Sixpack will have two or four doors, and production is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025. Dodge is making changes to the Charger muscle car so that it has an all-electric engine for 2024. After the Daytona E.V. version comes out at the end of this year, though, Dodge will add gas engines to the new Charger fleet. The 2025 Charger has two inline-six engines, so don’t expect fire-breathing V-8s. Gas Comes Back The gas-powered version called the Charger Sixpack, will come in two different styles, each with a Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine. The Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer now use this engine, as well as the updated 2025 Ram 1500. The “standard output” (S.O.) two-output Charger Sixpack motor makes 420 horsepower, the same amount as its truck and SUV cousins. The “high output” (H.O.) Charger Sixpack has been made stronger so that it can be used in muscle cars. Now, the Charger has 550 horsepower, the Wagoneer has 510 horsepower, and the Ram has 540 horsepower. Dodge hasn’t said how much torque the gas engines have yet, but the Ram’s Hurricane engine has a normal output of 469 pound-feet and a maximum output of 521 pound-feet. All-wheel drive comes standard on the Charger Sixpack, but we’re sure that Charger owners will find a way to do crazy burnouts and donuts at some time. Some Dodge fans may be sad that there is no longer a V-8 choice, but the company is quick to point out that the high-output engine is better than the 6.4-liter V-8 from the previous Scat Pack and that the standard output makes more horsepower and torque than the 5.7-liter V-8 in the old R/T. Fashion that stands out The Sixpack, like the electric Charger, looks a lot like an electric vehicle and will come with either two or four doors. Dodge only showed one picture of the internal combustion engine, and the most obvious difference was the new hood. The Sixpack looks different because it has two intakes on either side of the Fratzog sign. The Charger Daytona, on the other hand, has a cutout where the grille should be so air can flow up and over the hood, which increases downforce. These let air move through the radiators that cool the twin-turbo engine and out of the car through the hood vent that sticks out. Some small changes have been made to the Charger Sixpack’s front bumper to improve its appearance. The intakes at the sides are now a little bigger, and there is now a thin, upside-down U-shaped vent above the lower grille. Some cars with four doors have smaller front doors so that the back doors can fit better. This should make getting to the back seats easier. They both have the same length, whether they have two or four doors. The inside of the Charger Sixpack should look like the inside of the Charger Daytona. Inside, there’s a basic 12.3-inch touchscreen in the middle and a 10.3-inch digital gauge panel that can be upgraded to a 16.0-inch one. The gear lever looks like it came from the 1950s, the steering wheel is heated but not quite spherical, and the interior has 64 different types of lighting. The Charger name is on the dashboard of models with gas engines. When it will be out In the first quarter of 2025, Stellantis’ Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada, will start making the Charger Sixpack H.O. with two doors and the Charger Sixpack S.O. with four doors. Later, the two-door S.O. and four-door H.O. should be made. Around 2024, you should be able to find out more about chargers that run on gas.
