The 2025 Lincoln Aviator has a new look. The mid-size luxury SUV also gets a brand-new entertainment system called the Lincoln Digital Experience. This is the main change that stands out. People who travel a lot will be happy to hear that the full-size Navigator and other Lincoln cars now have BlueCruise, a hands-free drive mode designed for the highway.

There is now a hands-free drive mode and a new look for the 2025 Lincoln Aviator

Aviators get a makeover

We have always liked how the Aviator looked, but the new front end makes it look even better. Lincoln raised the grille and added a wider, new mesh design to go with the updated headlights. The latter have daytime running lights that go all the way through the grille and an image that greets owners as they approach. When that person goes, they act the same way. The Lincoln Embrace is what we call it. Isn’t this cute?

The only other change is that the Aviator looks the same. There are now two new paint colors for the high-end Black Label trim: Cenote Green Metallic and Whisper Blue Metallic. For all three models, the updated Jet package now comes with the standard blacked-out exterior parts (badges, grille insert, window trim, etc.). However, the black 21- and 22-inch wheels are only available on the Reserve trim and Black Label, which are the mid-level versions.

The engine in every Lincoln Aviator is the same 3.0-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine that makes 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission with 10 speeds and either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. There is still an air suspension system with a kneel mode that drops the ride height by 2.4 inches. This makes it easier to get in and out of the SUV. It now comes with a Class III trailer hitch that can pull up to 5,000 pounds. With the normal Class IV hitch, the Aviator could pull up to 6700 pounds before.

Better information

The inside of the 2025 Aviator is a lot like the inside of earlier models. The biggest change is the bigger 13.2-inch touchscreen, which has the infotainment system we talked about earlier and is based on Google’s Android Automotive OS. Lincoln said that the interface was made in-house and that voice commands were given top priority. These days, customers can use Amazon Alexa or the built-in Google Assistant to do many things. Common features, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that work wirelessly, give users what they expect.

The gauge cluster in the Aviator was already all digital, but a new 12.3-inch unit that shares the CPU with the tablet has been installed. You can use Google Maps on either screen, and there are also a lot of apps and ways to connect that can keep you entertained while the SUV is stopped. Clients can stream famous services like Amazon Prime and YouTube, or they can use a Bluetooth controller to play video games.

The Lincoln Premium Connectivity package comes with a 5G link and a Wi-Fi hotspot for the infotainment system in the Aviator. The price of the membership has yet to be set, but the first year is free. The normal Vivaldi browser can be used to browse the web, and Lincoln says that Google Chrome and a video-conferencing app will soon be available. For the first time, over-the-air software patches are now available, which add new features and make existing ones better.

Blue Cruise Customized

The only major change to the Aviator’s interior is the new navigation system. In the center dashboard tray next to the driver, there is now a wireless charging pad you can use. With the new push-button clutch on the center stack, the button to start the engine is now built-in. There is no longer a binnacle around the gauge cluster, and there is a new 5.8-inch touchscreen in the second row that lets people control the climate and audio settings.

The Reserve trim will come in four new color choices for the cabin in 2025. These include Harvest Bronze with Onyx black accents and Hot Chocolate with the same accent colors. You can only get the new Invitation inside with the black label. It has open-pore wood from a Khaya tree, brandy-colored contrast stitching, and Onyx black leather padding.

The Lincoln Aviator comes with a number of tools that help the driver. A 360-degree video system, blind-spot recognition, lane-keeping assistance, front and back parking sensors, and autonomous emergency braking in the rear are some of the features. BlueCruise, a hands-free highway driving tool that all Aviators can use, is the most noticeable feature. The device can move the SUV into a different lane to make room for other cars, or the driver can tell it to change directions. BlueCruise gives away free service for four years.

People can now place orders for the 2025 Lincoln Aviator, and sales will begin this summer. Depending on the trim level, prices have gone up from a little more than $5,100 to almost $8,500 since the last model year. But Lincoln has added a lot of new features that people want and made equipment that was previously available standard on all models. The Premiere starts at $59,890, the Black Label at $88,390, and the Reserve at $68,890.
