On Bring a Trailer, this 1995 Nissan Skyline Impul R33-R is going for sale. Check it out if you want a taste of very rare JDM bliss. What is the Impul R33-R? You’re not alone, so don’t worry. There were only 200 R33-Rs made, which are very limited versions of the modified R33 Skyline car. This 1995 model is one of them.

This Nissan Skyline Impul R33-R is a rare Japanese car that is for sale right now. A driver tuned it

Kazuyoshi Hoshino started the Japanese tuning company Impul. He used to run for Nissan’s factory team. Hoshino changed a stock R33 Skyline by adding race seats, Impul-branded 17-inch wheels, an unusual body package, and better suspension to make the R33-R. The popular 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-six RB25DET engine from the R33 Skyline is still there. When it was brand new, the Impul R33-R-duty engine made 250 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission sent all of that power to the back wheels. The back wheels can still be steered, but the GT-R’s ATTESA-ETS all-wheel-drive system is missing because it is based on the Skyline and not the GT-R.

The owner says that the timing belt and oil were changed before the car was put up for sale and that it only has 52,000 miles on it. That means it should run perfectly since the old RB Skyline engines were very strong. It is also car number 105 out of 200 that were made, and there is a plaque on the center panel that says “Impul R33-R: Directed by K. Hoshino.” The improved strut tower brace has the Impul logo on it, so you can brag to other people in cars and coffee shops about how unique it is.

It’s strange that in the past five years, Bring a Trailer has shown off two silver Impul R33-Rs. In 2021, a different one with 124,000 kilometers was sold for $21,000. The original Impul wheels on this car will make it sell for more than the other car’s BBS wheels, and the odometer reading will be much lower. This beautiful sports sedan has a 250-horsepower turbocharged straight-six engine, rear-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering, and a five-speed manual gearbox. It’s also cool that it’s hard to get and has a JDM vibe. The next owner won’t have to worry about importing or registering it because it’s over 25 years old and has a clear New Hampshire title. The person who gets it will definitely be in for a treat.
