• Off-roading will be a good fit for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter trim.
  • There will be a lot of gear for off-roading, like big tow hooks and an ARB rear bumper.
  • The new teaser from Toyota confirms all of these facts and the fact that the Trailhunter will have branded headlight bezels.

Toyota wants the mid-size Tacoma truck, which will come out in 2024, to be more appealing to off-roaders. After introducing the new truck in hybrid TRD Pro form, Toyota already shows the upcoming Trailhunter version.

Even though the trail hunter name is on Tacoma for the first time, we’ve heard of this new Toyota brand before. The Tundra Trailhunter idea from the 2017 SEMA show gets this award. The Tacoma Trailhunter is aimed at the overlanding community like its full-size model brothers and sisters. It needs to be clarified precisely what that means.

We know the Tacoma Trailhunter will have a big tow hook on the frame and an ARB rear bumper, almost certainly made of steel. The car also has flared bumpers, blacked-out headlight bezels made by Trailhunter, and what look like all-terrain tires.

Many things that made the Tundra Trailhunter idea stand out will also make the Tacoma Trailhunter stand out from other trucks. This includes a unique suspension system to the trim, multiple skid plates under the body, roof racks, and off-road driving lights.

The Tundra Trailhunter idea also had a bed rack with a roof-top tent attached, a refrigerator, and unique storage spaces to make life a little comfier when you’re not connected to the grid. We would be shocked if Toyota didn’t offer these as extras. This functionality will not be a regular part of the production model.

Toyota has yet to say much about the 2024 Tacoma and its less good versions for off-roading. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma appeals to people shopping for a mid-size car who want a hybrid-powered off-road truck or a factory-built Overlander. It has yet to be determined when Toyota will let us look at the vehicle.
