Eight 2024 Toyota Tacoma models have two cab/bed options, automatic and manual transmissions, and three new 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine variants. The popular TRD Off-Road variant now comes standard with 33-inch tires, stronger Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, a raised front end, and coil springs in the back. The top variants are a new off-road Trailhunter and a more comprehensive TRD Pro. Today, Toyota unveiled a more extensive and diverse 2024 lineup, making the Tacoma even more appealing. These cars can compete with the latest Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado. Like its competitors, Toyota didn’t limit the Tacoma to a crew cab, short bed, and automatic transmission. Instead, Toyota has crew-cab and extended-cab vehicles with 5- or 6-foot beds. An eight-speed automatic transmission replaced the problematic six-speed. SR, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road grades use six-speed manual transmissions. Every Tacoma The new 2.4L four-cylinder turbocharged engine is equipped with three power levels and eight trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, TRD Trailhunter, and TRD Pro. Only SRs have the base engine. Its 228 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque are up from last year’s 159. The SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited have the iForce turbo-four engine standard. The iForce turbo four replaced the V-6 from the previous model year. The engine has 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet, up from 265 and 265, respectively. The TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road’s six-speed manual gear reduces output to 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet, but it’s worth it. The iForce Max’s hybrid system produces 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet, the most in its class. Hybrid systems use 2400-watt AC inverters instead of 300-watt AC converters. This powerplant is standard in the newly revised TRD Pro and Trailhunter and the TRD Sport, Off-Road, and Limited. The iForce Max hybrid is expected to outperform the Ranger Raptor and Colorado ZR2 in fuel economy. 2017 Tacoma rear disc brakes. It includes an automatic parking stop and high-end active safety technologies. The coil-sprung rear axle is the party’s highlight. The TRD PreRunner, which is only available with an extended cab, the SR and the SR5 all feature leaf springs, but coil springs are coming. Thus, every crew cab Tacoma since the SR5 has the new five-link, coil-spring rear suspension. Off Road TRD TRD Off-Road could become the most popular model again—people like its push-button rear differential lock, complete terrain control, an off-road-tuned suspension. With a slight nose lift, Bilstein remote reservoir shocks with a long-overdue piston diameter increase, and hydraulic end stop control to soften landings near maximum compression, the suspension has been substantially enhanced. The chassis is improved, and the tires are 33 inches tall. Toyota claims that a removable front anti-roll bar will increase suspension movement. Sports TRD The Limited now rides smoothly for non-off-roaders, while the TRD Sport retains sport-tuned shocks, road tires, and a hood scoop. The only car in line with full-time four-wheel drive, which acts like all-wheel drive until the centre differential is locked for off-road traction. Its shock springs are adjustable. Pro TRD The TRD Pro is still the best for quick desert running, and it has been upgraded to compete with the Ranger Raptor and Colorado ZR2. Despite having the same power, the standard iForce Max has more torque than the other two. Long-overdue suspension modifications gave the Pro its first high-riding, wide-track stance. The width of the track is three inches greater than the base model, and it sits 2 inches higher front and 1.5 inches taller back. Fender flares are necessary due to its 33-inch tires and 18-inch wheels. Fox QS3 2.5-inch, adjustable dampers with remote reservoirs and Fox IFP hydraulic bump stops support the rear end. Removable front anti-roll bar. The norm. Trailhunter Inner Circle The 2017 Tacoma fixes a longstanding issue. It’s almost an inch taller now, so you don’t feel like sitting on the floor. The seat’s movement didn’t reduce space because the roof was lifted at the same rate. A better steering wheel with a more excellent telescopic range improves driving posture. The cabin looks neat and has reasonable controls. The central screen is easily accessible, and the reconfigurable digital gauge panel and steering wheel controls appear modern. Details reveal more. A trailer-backing device and trailer brake controller are now available for Tacoma. Using the outer pair, an alternative system with three shark fins on the roof communicates with a trailer back camera. Electric brake boosters and rear discs will improve the braking system. Its crawl control feature now supports 4 High instead of 4 Low. The handle, key fob, or taillight buttons open and close the trunk. The power actuator takes over if you push the door up with your hand or knee. The Tacoma won’t be available to test drive until the fourth quarter, and the price and the complete list of specs won’t be released until later in the year. The iForce engine operates then. Spring 2024 will bring the iForce Max hybrid engine. This and other factors decide the options for TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Sport, Off-Road, and Limited powertrain. Eight grades, two cabs, two beds, three engines, two transmissions, and several suspensions make the new Tacoma challenging to choose from. We’re happy about the release’s dissemination. The new Tacoma’s several models need to be revised. Everyone’s covered.
