  • There is a small chance that the Crown Landscape will be released in the US.

Toyota will stop making the full-size Avalon car in 2022. The tall Crown will take its place, but it still needs to be determined whether it will be an SUV or a sedan. Toyota is now strongly moving toward the second option, thanks to a new model made just for the Japanese market. The new Landscape trim, which is higher, comes with all-terrain tires and a roof rack that can be added as an extra.

Trim for the All-Terrain Toyota Crown Crossover

A Crown for Every Surface

In Japan, Toyota sells a group of cars called Crown. The model that is brought into the US is called the Crown Crossover. The Crown Crossover Landscape will come out in 2024 with a lift of about one inch and strong 18-inch wheels covered in 245/60 all-terrain tires. Behind each of the four wheels are red mud flaps. The wheel arches are thicker, have visible rivets, and have a matte finish.

The Landscape also comes with a trailer hitch that can pull up to 1653 pounds. A clean light green called Urban Khaki is used to paint all Landscapes. Gloss black details can be found on the door trim, trunk, and hood. On both sides of the license plate, there are also back fog lights.

Japanese Toyota customers who really want to look like they belong outside can get a roof rack like the one shown, which is fully loaded with goods. The interior hasn’t been changed much, except for a black piece of trim on the dashboard that has the word “Landscape” carved into it in the shape of mountains for the letters A through Z.

The Hybrid Max powertrain is the only one offered for the Landscape. It has a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor on the rear axle to make 340 horsepower. Taking into account the current exchange rate, the Crown Crossover Landscape costs a little more than $45,000 in Japan. We’re sorry, but we don’t think the Crown will get the update that makes it look more aggressive.
