• The 2025 Hyundai Tucson gets a new look and feel inside. The European model got these changes first, at the end of last year.
  • Two 12.3-inch screens share a single glass panel on the dashboard, and Tucson’s grille has been remade with bigger illuminated parts.
  • The Hyundai small SUV also has more physical buttons, a redesigned column shifter, and, on higher trim levels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that work wirelessly.

The Hyundai Tucson is unique as a small SUV, and only the Kia Sportage, the company’s SUV, can compete with it. The newest version of the Tucson came out for the 2022 model year. Hyundai has chosen to give Tucson a new look by giving it a new mug and new screens inside that look like desktop PCs.

Take a look at your grill

We now know more about the 2025 Hyundai Tucson’s United States-spec range as well as the European model, which was first shown in November of last year. The new Tucson has a more attractive grille because it has more sections and fewer daytime running lights (eight instead of ten). It also has new wheel designs and redesigned front and back bumpers. The rear wiper blade is now three inches longer, there are new logos on the outside made of polished metal, and the XRT model has higher roof rails that look like bridges.

The Tucson’s base engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower. It comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and can be ordered with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. You can also get a 231-hp hybrid engine or a plug-in hybrid system with 268-hp. It now comes with all-wheel drive as standard on both models, and drivers can pick from a number of different amounts of regeneration braking. In addition, Hyundai is adding three new ways to drive. Green Zone tries to get the most out of the PHEV’s performance in electric-only mode, while Baby mode and the customizable My Drive help to make acceleration easier.

The dashboard looks like a desktop

Tucson’s interior has been changed a lot. It now has two 12.3-inch screens hidden behind a single piece of glass. The infotainment system is on the right screen, and the instrument panel is on the left. Also, the switchgear no longer has touch-sensitive controls. Instead, it has bigger buttons and knobs, especially for the music system and HVAC. Old-fashioned push-button shifters are no longer in the center panel; they are now on the steering column. In addition to a new center console with a wireless charge pad, there is now a useful storage shelf for the front passenger.

The Tucson has a new screen for entertainment and a new user interface. Hyundai says the method takes better pictures and processes them faster. We are glad to see that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available on higher trim levels. This is because all models now come with built-in wireless charging. Please take a look at Tucson’s new head-up display, its fingerprint reader on the dashboard that can be used instead of a smart key, and its ability to get software updates over the air. This also goes for the set of driver-assistance technologies, which now includes Forward Attention Warning, a camera on the steering column that checks the driver’s attention to make sure they are paying attention.

Hyundai hasn’t said how much the Tucson series will cost in 2025, but it will be more expensive than earlier models. In 2024, the base price for the 2.5T type was $28,875, the hybrid was $33,950, and the PHEV cost $40,100. Hyundai says that gas-only cars will be the first to be sold. Dealers will get them in June. The plug-in hybrid and hybrid models will come out late this summer.
