The Volkswagen ID.Buzz, which will be sold in the US, is being teased before its June 2 launch. Today, VW gave us a sneak peek at the van’s darkened front end with a teaser picture. Since the ID.Buzz was shown to the world for the first time in March last year. We’ve seen how it looks and learned a lot about the planned American version. The legendary status of the original Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus has interested people in the modern version, which was shown to the public in March 2022—the ID.Buzz is an all-electric van already on the market in other countries but hasn’t come out in the US yet. Friday, June 2, a video will show the American version of the 2025 ID.Buzz. VW has shared a teaser picture of the car’s covered front end. Usually, preview photos try to get people interested in a new car design, but in this case, the ID is the most talked about thing. Buzz’s appeal has gone down since pictures of its retro-styled exterior and roomy, movable interior have been online for more than a year. Still, today’s tease is another reminder that the new bus that will replace the Microbus will be on American roads very soon. But the peek doesn’t show anything new about the American ID. So far, this is all we know, Buzz. It will have a longer length and three rows of seats that can be set up differently to fit seven people. Even though the EPA hasn’t said how far the van can go on a single charge, it is believed to go about 260 miles. Customers can choose between a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system that is more powerful and a single-motor, rear-drive system that is less powerful. Because of the ID.Buzz and the VW ID. They use the same Modular Electric Drive (MEB) technology and are both electric. The van will likely use the same electric power as the 4×4 SUV. So, the model with rear-wheel drive may make 201 horsepower, while the model with all-wheel drive may make 295 horsepower. The price of the ID.Buzz in the US is also unknown, but it should start at around $40,000.
