Volkswagen is continuing to grow its sporty EV subbrand. The 335-hp ID.7 GTX Tourer and the 322-hp ID.3 GTX hot hatch were just released. The electric ID.Buzz minivan with a 335-hp dual-motor system is the newest car to carry the GTX name. Volkswagen has said that the same all-wheel-drive system will be available in the US. However, the GTX badge will only be offered in Europe, as it is on the other models.

Volkswagen will offer its 335-hp ID. Buzz GTX has all-wheel drive in the United States

Each axle in the GTX has 107 horsepower, and the rear axle has 282 horsepower. This is the same as the AWD version that will be sold in the US. In Europe, Volkswagen is selling the GTX engine with both a short and a long wheelbase. In the US, however, only the longer ID will be offered. Buzz. The van can only go as fast as 99 mph, and Volkswagen didn’t say how fast it could go.

The GTX comes with two battery packs: one with 86.0 kWh and one with 79.0 kWh. Volkswagen says that using DC fast-charging stations, both batteries can be charged from 10% to 80% capacity in about 26 minutes. Both 185 kW and 200 kW are the highest charging rates possible. The huge battery should only come with the US-spec car, but Volkswagen’s American branch says the ID has more details. Buzz AWD will come out later this year.

According to Volkswagen of America, the all-wheel-drive version will not get “the GTX badging and equipment set.” However, the European van will keep the unique bumpers that make it look like the other GTX models. Instead of the two-tone wheels seen on this all-red GTX, the car will also come with lighter wheels.

The only thing that makes it unique is the GTX. Buzz says that the GTX-specific chairs have black headlining and red highlights. In Europe, the long-wheelbase van will also come with either five or seven seats, and the steering wheel now has red stitching. The GTX models will also be able to get the newest version of Volkswagen’s infotainment system, which now has a voice helper and works with ChatGPT. The 12.9-inch tablet is now about an inch bigger, and when a passenger opens the door, the exit warning system lets them know when a car or bike is coming up behind them.

The long-wheelbase version has a panoramic sunroof with “smart glass” that can be turned from clear to cloudy with the touch of a button. After the ID shows up, more details about the all-wheel-drive system and the choices in the US should be available. Buzz’s fall release date is approaching.
