Our Opinion - 2024 Audi A4 Review There are a lot of car fans out there, but the 2024 Audi A4 is strong and quiet, just like the A6 and A8 sedans. Some rivals may have more ceremony and pomp than it, but it gives off an air of confidence and has its style. This also includes how well it handles. At first glance, it looks like a high-end car, but when it’s time to have fun, it will not let you down. It comes with all-wheel drive as standard, and its strong four-cylinder turbocharged motors and firm suspension tuning make it easy to drive in bad weather. Some people like the strong, calm vibe of the interior, but a more fun design might make people feel better, even though it was made with great care and high-quality materials. In fact, the style that seems sad from the outside is the same. But unlike competitors like the Alfa Romeo Giulia, Genesis G70, and Mercedes-Benz C-class, which are more impressive to look at and take more work from the driver, the A4 has kept its reputation for quality that isn’t overt, which is rare in today’s market. What's New? In 2024, all versions of the A4 except the base A4 40 will come with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, parking assist, and a heated steering wheel as standard. The myAudi app can also be used to start the engine from a distance. If you buy the Navigation package, you’ll get predictive adaptive cruise control and the ability to read traffic signs. In terms of style, Arkona White has been used instead of Ibis White in the A4 series, and Progressive Red Metallic has been used instead of Tango Red Metallic in the A4 45 and S4 models. Pros and Cons Pros More everyday stuff. Speed of the S Line model. The Allroad wagon’s cargo area. Cons The car can only hold a small amount of stuff. Bigger wheels make the ride rough. Strange fun software. Engine, Transmission, and Performance And Audi makes the A4 in two different strengths: 40 and 45. The 40 and 45 both have all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 12-volt hybrid engine. The 40 makes 201 horsepower, and the 45 makes 261 horsepower. We want a six-speed manual transmission, but the only engine that’s offered is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The A4 is quick to drive, if not the best in its class. It has a good grip on the road, controlled body movements, and accurate steering. It also has great damping that gives you a natural mix of comfort and quick responses with well-rounded results. The steering feel, which is important in a sporty car, is less noticeable at lower speeds, especially on the highway. On the other hand, when you’re driving on roads with lots of turns, the steering becomes almost magically intuitive. Safety The Audi A4 now comes with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and parking assist as standard. This is because Audi added a lot more safety features and driver-support technology for 2024. They were previously only offered on higher trim levels, and they make the A4 even more valuable. Visit the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) webpages to learn more about the A4’s crash test scores. Some important safety factors are: It comes with adaptive speed control. Automatic emergency brakes and forward collision warning are standard features. Consistent lane departure warning system that aids with lane maintenance. Internal and External Cargo Capacity Much like the rest of the current Audi lineup, the A4’s beautiful interior blends cutting-edge technology, high-end materials, and modern design elements. Most of the switches and buttons feel good to the touch and are set up in a way that makes them easy to use. The A4 does a great job of making the most room for passengers while still leaving a small footprint. There are 35.7 inches of legroom in the back seats, and the usual sunroof makes the space feel even bigger. The trunk has a capacity of 12 cubic feet, which is roughly equivalent to the average for this category. However, the storage bins and sections are small. There is plenty of room in the trunk for five carry-on bags, and the A4’s back seat can easily fit longer items like fishing poles and skis thanks to its easy 40/20/40 split folding system. Like many entry-level luxury sedans, the A4 is nice to drive but not very big. If you need a lot more room for your stuff, the A4 Allroad wagon might be a better choice. Fuel Economy and Actual MPG The Audi A4 40 gets 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. In fact, those numbers are two more miles per gallon than the 2023 model in every area. Official A4 45 figures still need to be out, but we expect them to match or be within one mpg of the 40 in every way. Still, the latest A4 45 model we tried got an impressive 33 mpg on our tough 75-mph highway fuel economy route. Infotainment and Connectivity The 10.1-inch tablet on the A4 infotainment system shows high-quality images. All A4 45 cars will be able to be started from a distance with the myAudi app by 2024. All A4s with the Premium Plus trim level now come with adaptive cruise control that can read traffic signs as part of the extra Navigation package (which comes standard on the Prestige Trim). There are also two USB ports, voice command, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay as regular features. A more powerful Bang & Olufsen sound system with 19 speakers, Wi-Fi in the car, and SiriusXM satellite radio are all part of the choice packages. We highly suggest the Virtual Cockpit, Audi’s beautiful digital gauge display, which you can add as an option. Price and How to Choose The prices for the base Premium trims stay the same across the entire 2024 lineup, going up by $1100 for the 40 and $1000 for the 45. The new features for 2024, like adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and a heated steering wheel, more than makeup for the higher price. The Premium Plus trim, which costs in the middle, makes sense because it comes with It has 18-inch wheels, a wireless charging pad, a digital gauge display that can be customized, a top view camera system, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, memory settings for the driver seat, blind-spot monitoring, and the myAudi app that lets you start the engine from a distance. The 45 engine, which makes 60 horsepower more than the 40 and costs only $1600 more, is what we recommend.
