Mitsubishi makes three crossover SUVs. The 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is one of them. It costs more and is bigger than the base Outlander Sport, but it’s smaller and cheaper than the Outlander with three rows of seats. If you want a less expensive alternative to well-known models like the Honda CR-V or something roomier than a very small SUV like the Outlander Sport, this might be a good choice.

In 2024, Mitsubishi takes advantage of one of the Eclipse Cross’s best features: a long list of standard features. The SE price level has become more appealing thanks to new comfort features. Some of the features are an adaptive cruise control system, an automatic hands-free liftgate, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a USB port for people sitting in the back. There is also push-button start and keyless access on the Eclipse LE, which is the second-lowest trim level. There are a few major problems with the Eclipse Cross, though. Since it first came out in 2018, this age of cars has been slowly replaced by newer models that are more fun to drive and look more modern.

The Eclipse Cross doesn’t like having to deal with other ships. One of our top picks for a small SUV is the Mazda CX-50. Even though it costs more, there’s no denying that it’s a nicer SUV with better materials and more room. Consider looking into the Subaru Crosstrek instead. It can go off-road better than the Eclipse Cross, costs less, and comes with all-wheel drive as standard.
