The HR-V for 2022 is nearly identical to the model year 2020. The Sport version, on the other hand, now gets a tinted rear window and new wheels.

You can choose from 4 different trims. The base model is the LX, which is shortly followed by the Sport. The EX and EX-L make up the top half of the lineup, with the EX-L being the most expensive HR-V.

What are the main distinctions between the trims?

The Sport level is where smartphone compatibility becomes the norm. This will be a critical consideration for many potential customers, particularly those who have become accustomed to using their phones for a variety of purposes. 

A leather-wrapped steering wheel and athletic pedals are also included with the Sport. Heated front seats, a sunroof, a clever keyless entry system, and driver-assist technologies are all available at the EX level. Leather seats and a few additional high-end features are included with the EX-L model.

Just because the Honda HR-V is dependable doesn’t guarantee it’ll be the fastest or most powerful vehicle on the road. In actuality, the figures aren’t that spectacular. Many individuals, on the other hand, aren’t going to let that stop them from purchasing such a trustworthy and practical vehicle that’s easy to operate and ideal for daily commutes.

Every HR-V model level comes with all-wheel drive. The gas mileage while driving this Honda SUV is a genuine plus. HR-Vs with front-wheel drive get 28 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the interstate. The mpg figure for an all-wheel-drive HR-V lowers marginally to 27/31 (city/highway) miles per gallon.

People should not dismiss the Honda HR-V as being too tiny for their requirements until they experience it in person. Leg room in the second row is about 40 inches, which is a considerable space that most competing vehicles can’t offer. 

Behind the seatbacks is a storage area of around 24 cubic feet, and the rear seats can be lowered to increase cargo capacity to about 60 cubic feet. Even better, the Honda includes a Magic Seat in the second row.

The HR-V may be equipped with leather upholstery and heated front seats. Interior storage compartments and vanity mirrors are all standard, as are power locks, power windows, and cruise control. The HR-V has Bluetooth is standard, while the Sport, EX, and EX-L have seven-inch touch screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Honda Sensing is standard on the top two model levels. The Honda Sensing package includes a number of monitoring devices that can spot possible problems. When it appears that certain types of accidents are on the horizon, the HR-V can inform drivers via voice and/or visual alerts to take action. 

The Honda HR-V can actually take charge of the issue in some scenarios, such as when a driver is about to rear-end the automobile in front of them or change lanes when another vehicle is in their blind spot. Only when necessary, the car automatically hits the brakes or adjusts the steering.
