2022 Hyundai Venue Overview

The Venue, Hyundai’s next tiny, sleek, and cheap SUV, is now on the market. People on a tight budget will find the new Hyundai Venue appealing in its three trim levels. Potential drivers are sure to notice the Venue’s style, comfort, and high-tech features.

The Hyundai Venue debuted in 2020. There will no longer be an option to get an SUV with a stick shift after just one year. All versions will be equipped with continuously variable paddle shifters from this point forward. Steel wheels were substituted with alloy ones on the base model. There are additional basic security and comfort features that make the SEL trim look like a better value.

There are only a few trim options to pick from. Denim trim on the SE and SEL isn’t much more expensive, and they’re both under $20,000.

A seven-inch display and smartphone compatibility are included with the SE. There are a number of driver-assist devices available that can help drivers feel more secure when confronted with the unexpected. It’s not always a guarantee that the Venue’s advanced components are supplied with the base model in the class it falls under. It’s clear that this will be a great boon to the SE’s cause.

The pricing difference between the SE and the SEL appears to be negligible. This model offers a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, an auto-up window for the driver, and built-in storage space in the armrest for the driver.

The Denim is at the top-spec. In terms of design, Denim’s two-tone exterior color scheme is the most eye-catching. A denim color covers the majority of the car’s exterior, while a blinding white paint job covers the top and side mirrors. With its LED tail lights, it stands out from the crowd as well. Continuing the denim concept, the seats are upholstered in denim fabric. Additional features include a warmed front seat, an eight-inch display guidance system, and smart key entry technology for this trim level.

Most people who look at the Venue won’t expect to see such a powerful engine underneath the hood. They’d be on the mark. The Venue has 121 hp & 113 feet of torque, so it’s perfectly capable of navigating city streets and highways without a problem.

This car won’t win any races, but it can certainly transport people from point A to point B safely and on time. Driver-assist features are included in the Venue for further peace of mind. As part of the base equipment, all models come equipped with pre-collision braking systems that can detect other vehicles and pedestrians, lane-keeping systems that keep operators focused on the road, and a distraction prevention system. In addition, weak spot and front cross-traffic alerts are standard equipment for the SEL and Denim trims.

The Venue’s efficiency is another reason customers may be interested in it. The Venue has a freeway fuel economy rating of 33 mpg and a city fuel economy rating of 30 mpg. These are excellent figures that will help SUVs attract customers who are concerned about their carbon footprint.

There is enough for up to five people at this location. Nearly 19-cubic-foot cargo space is located behind the seats. If more capacity is available, the back seats may be folded down, and the highest cargo capacity is 32 cubic feet. Those who need to move larger objects may find that the inside space is a significant consideration.

Driving the Venue is convenient for a number of reasons. Certain voice commands will be accepted thanks to Bluetooth. Dual USB ports are available on the SEL and Denim models, and audio controls are located on the steering wheel. An adjustable cargo floor and an easily-stowed luggage shelf in the back make it easy to keep everything you need within easy access.

It’s possible to upgrade the SEL’s appearance with the addition of certain optional features. Heated front seats are an option for even greater ease. The infotainment system in the SEL can be modified if the driver prefers the SEL’s appearance over the Denim’s. Note that this upgraded infotainment system has HD Radio or SiriusXM Digital Radio, as well as a larger screen. The motorized sunroof is only available in the SEL model.
