2024 Hyundai Tucson Overview

Hyundai has earned a reputation for producing high-quality vehicles at reasonable prices. However, the company’s ideas deserve more recognition for their contribution to its success. Hyundai has done a lot to make its cars attractive, from the slick Sonata of a decade ago to the quirky, swept-back Veloster hatchback. This may be as significant as the product’s competitive pricing and an extensive list of features. The Hyundai Tucson 2024 is a throwback to an era when compact SUVs were only getting their start.

In 2022, Hyundai gave Tucson a facelift. Sharp creases run from the front doors to the rear headlights, and the doors are no longer square or rectangular. The roof narrows in the back, and there is a wide slatted grille for a sporty appearance. The Tucson is a decent, nice vehicle, but an excellent exterior design can only redeem a car that’s otherwise lacking. It’s roomy and pleasant inside, with adequate headroom for all occupants, a clean design, and a class-leading load capacity.

Considering Tucson’s recent redesign and the release of the XRT the year before, we anticipate that the 2024 model will remain the same. But at least show us a sample. Whether you get the newer 10.25-inch Tucson screen or the older 8-inch one, the touch-sensitive display is a significant drawback. The use of touch devices while driving is a hazardous distraction, despite being a popular topic of discourse. Car manufacturers take note: just because Tesla does it doesn’t make it right.

It would be wonderful to have a more robust base engine as well. The four-cylinder engine’s exclusion from higher trim levels is acceptable due to its sluggish speed. However, despite their visually distinct appearances, the N Line and XRT share the same engine. The Tucson is fortunate because it has a robust hybrid motor that can be used in urban and extra-urban settings. Independent research has been done on the plug-in combo format. Compared to competitors like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue, the Tucson distinguishes out due to its attractive exterior design and spacious interior.

What’s it like to operate a Tucson? Tucson’s engine is underpowered and cannot propel the SUV. It’s excellent for city and highway driving, but its slowness becomes immediately apparent if you’re in a rush. Compared to other crossovers we’ve tested, the Tucson is painfully slow. The Tucson accelerates from 0-60 mph in 10.2 seconds.

After that, driving is regular and routine. Tucson’s relaxed demeanour and pinpoint steering are two of our favourite features. Getting going is easy, but slowing down can be jarring if you hit the brakes too hard.

How pleasurable is it to drive a Tucson? Regarding ride quality, Tucson is on par with high-end luxury vehicles. The ride is comfortable and undisturbed, thanks to the adjustable suspension system. It’s a great example of its kind of ride.

Our Limited trim test vehicle had fantastic front seats. These plush, velvety pillows had sufficient side support and electric lumbar adjustments. Tucson’s high level of insulation and quiet ride are two of our favourite features. When compared to similar products, it has superior noise isolation. You won’t have to worry about making or receiving calls or listening to the radio, even if the wind gets up.

Just how is the inner condition? The Tucson cabin is spacious and tastefully constructed, making for a pleasant ride. The front passengers have plenty of legroom, but even the back passengers can recline back in their seats. The wide windscreen and narrow side windows make it simple for the driver to settle into a comfortable, in-command position behind the wheel.

We’re not interested in the control system. The touchscreen is used for nearly all interactions, and the inert buttons next to it are mainly cosmetic. A dial or device is helpful for those who prefer to avoid reaching constantly. It’s also simple to leave grease marks on the screen. Indeed there’s a more efficient approach.

Does the technology work well? For this price, Tucson offers a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies that are both efficient and futuristic in appearance. You’ll first notice the usual Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and the available 10.25-inch touchscreen with a stunning screen. You’ll find the guidance straightforward if you enjoy using Hyundai’s dashboard system. Excellent understanding of instructions and less rigid adherence to prompts than competing products characterise the voice activation feature.

Tucson’s suite of driver assistance features is another strong point. In congested areas, convenience features like blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control are invaluable. The front and rear parking sensors will keep you out of danger even if they don’t stop beeping.

What about organising your space? The Tucson’s trunk is spacious and can accommodate numerous items. The area behind the rear seats is 38.7 cubic feet, above average for compact SUVs. With the rear seats collapsed, you’ll have access to 74.8 cubic feet of storage space. Moving or storing holiday boxes should be a breeze thanks to the room’s flat floor and little leftovers. You can find numerous storage options for your minor possessions throughout the home. The cup holders can carry even the most significant water bottles.

Are your children still young? The anchors for a car seat are conveniently located between the pillow backs, making installation a breeze. Large, rear-facing seats have plenty of room in the back.

How well does it use gasoline? The EPA says that the Tucson we tried gets a combined 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway for 25 mpg. This is alright, and our driving experience on the road and in the town gave us the same results, showing that the score is accurate in real life. The number is, however, less than that of the Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue with all-wheel drive. Since Tucson moves slowly, a higher number would also be better.

Buy a Tucson? Like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Tucson is priced similarly. However, Hyundai has more enticing features and a superior cabin. This little car’s interior excels in comfort, intrigue, and value. Hyundai’s 5-year/60,000-mile and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranties are the best. Tucson is cost-effective.

Hyundai had fun designing the Tucson, as seen by its hidden headlights, tablet menus, and remote-controlled parking system. These are just embellishments on a boring cake.

Tucson’s slow engine makes it hard to drive, and the transmission may be slow if it isn’t used to its full potential. There are a lot of standard features in Tucson that make it stand out from the competition. But it’s not good enough to make it a fun car to drive.

As of this writing, Hyundai has not made any official news about the 2024 Tucson. We’ll change our list, but based on the Tucson from last year, the SEL trim offers the best combination of price and features. Many nice things are built in, like heated front seats, an intelligent device charger, and more help for the driver. It also gives you options like a hands-free liftgate, real or fake leather inside, and a better Bose sound system. If you choose a combination, the Blue combination is a good choice.

Hyundai Tucson model

There are eight different trims for the Hyundai Tucson. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the SE, SEL, XRT, N Line, and Limited makes 187 horsepower. A 1.6-liter gas engine and an electric motor give the Blue Hybrid, SEL Convenience Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid 227 horsepower.
