2024 Hyundai Sonata Overview

What’s New

  • New looks on the inside and outside.
  • A better and bigger display in the middle.
  • Being able to get all-wheel drive.
  • A part of the seventh Sonata model came out in 2020.

It’s no secret that Hyundai wants to make the 2024 Sonata better than its competitors at the same or lower price, and they want to back it up with a guarantee that no one else can match. It also does something. Few other midsize cars offer as many tech and safety features as the Sonata for the same price. Along with this year’s major facelift, the model range has been streamlined. For example, the base Sonata now comes with better standard equipment and one engine has been taken out.

This year’s Sonata is easy to spot because it looks different. There is a full-width headlight bar and a lower grille that is more pointed on the front. Hyundai made a new 12.3-inch tablet and a digital instrument panel that looks like one curved screen. The main change for 2024 is that the tablet can now talk to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. More changes have been made to the 2024 Sonata range. The base SE trim from last year has been phased out, leaving the mid-level SEL trim as the most cheap way to buy a Sonata. The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that was previously offered is no longer being made either. 2024’s powertrain choices include the base 2.5-liter engine (now offered with all-wheel drive), the Sonata Hybrid, which uses less gas, and the Sonata N Line, which has a turbocharged engine and 290 horsepower.

Spend some time learning about these and other great midrange competitors, like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Kia K5. The Accord has been a best-seller for a long time. It got a new look and an optional hybrid engine last year. One more well-known car is the Toyota Camry, but the latest model is beginning to show its age. The Kia K5 is the last car. It’s not a hybrid, but it has a lot of the same mechanical and technical parts as the Sonata. Without a doubt, the most well-known of the bunch is the Sonata that has been changed.

Pros

  • Gives a number of useful common technical features.
  • Inside is big and has lots of storage space.
  • The hybrid Sonata gets great gas mileage.
  • The athletic ability of Sonata N Line.

Cons

  • It’s more comfy than some other high-end cars.

When it comes to features and price, the Sonata SEL is the best choice. You can choose between a normal engine and a hybrid powertrain. Even though the SEL Hybrid costs a little more, you should get your money back in just a few years, thanks to its better gas mileage.

Different Hyundai Sonata styles

There are four different trim options for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata midsize sedan: SEL, N Line, SEL Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid. Because there are three engine choices, it’s important to know how they are different. The SEL Sonata is the most well-known. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque is built into it, along with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Next is the N Line. The Sonata’s 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine makes 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is not available on the N Line, though.
