Our Opinion - 2025 Audi Q3 Review While still being one of the most affordable luxury subcompact SUVs on the market, the 2025 Audi Q3 does a great job of combining comfort and usefulness. The BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA-class both have at least 30 more horsepower than the Audi Q3. This means that the Q3 is not as powerful on the road. There are a lot of high-tech options that come standard on the Q3, such as adaptive cruise control, a sunroof, and heated leather seats. Audi has always put a lot of stress on cutting-edge technology and great handling, even though the Q3 looks a bit like a Q5 that has shrunk in the dryer. The Audi Q3 40 will no longer be made after 2025, but the Q3 S Line 45 will still be offered. It has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 228 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. The Q3 from Audi isn’t the best small SUV in its class, but it’s still competitive thanks to high-quality materials and well-thought-out features. What's New? The Q3 45 Premium and Q3 45 Premium Plus trims are set to be released in 2025, which will also mark the final year for the Q3 40 Premium and Premium Plus models. There is some good news, though. The Q3 45’s more powerful 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine is still the best choice. One of the visual changes is the addition of a Black Optic Plus package. Some of the small styling features that come with this package are new 19-inch black alloy wheels, carbon inlays, black exterior trim pieces, embossed front sport seats, and so on. Pros and Cons Pros Spacious and comfortable second-row seating. Striking and expansive digital displays. Stylish outside design. Cons Not good enough engines. The ride quality is overly bouncy. Some materials used inside look cheap. Engine, Transmission, and Performance The Q3 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing 251 pound-feet of torque. All four wheels get power from the usual Quattro all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic shuttle. The Q3 isn’t the fastest car in its class; the fastest time we could get from 0 to 60 mph in the Q3 45 a few years ago was 7.3 seconds. The gearbox does have a Sport mode, manual control, and smooth shifts, though. Even though it’s simple, the handling could be better. In this case, a hardcore suspension would not be at all appropriate, but this suspension is tuned for comfort rather than speed. Because of this, the engine and frame work well together to make driving fun and sometimes exciting. Safety The 2018 Q3 has a lot of tools that help the driver. Automatic high beams, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking are all standard on all models. Some of the features that can be added are front and back parking sensors, park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and rear emergency braking. The following are important safety features: Most automatic emergency brakes can detect people on the road. Normal warning for leaving your lane. It comes with adaptive speed control. Internal and External Cargo Capacity When the second-generation Q3 came out for the 2019 model year, it fixed almost all of the problems we had with the first one. It’s bigger, made of better materials, uses more up-to-date technology, and has features that are easier to use. Its eight-way power adjustments and driver lumbar support, among other things, make driving balance and comfort in the front seat a lot better. The Q3 finally lives up to its four-ring badge thanks to its standard panoramic sunroof, leather interior, and heated front seats. If a buyer wants more luxury, they can pay extra for contrasting microsuedes on the doors and controls, ambient lighting inside, and a fully digital gauge cluster. No matter how fancy the car was, people in the back seats would feel squished because there wasn’t a little space there. Still, we were able to fit 12 bags and six carry-ons in the trunk because the back seats could be folded down. In terms of size, both are the same as the Jaguar E-Pace but not as big as the X1. Fuel Economy and Actual MPG The Q3 45 gets about the same gas mileage as the Volvo XC40, 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. It only loses two mpg in each area. We did get a nice 31 mpg on the highway fuel-economy route going 75 mph, which was better than what we thought we would get in Q3. Infotainment and Connectivity Most Audi Q3 models come with an 8.8-inch MMI tablet infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10.1-inch tablet with more space shows the same information. The interface looked good and was easy to use because it had big icons and haptic input. On the other hand, the low panel can be annoying. A 15-speaker, 680-watt Sonos stereo system with wireless charging and SiriusXM satellite radio is one of the best choices. Price and How to Choose This one is easy. The S line 45 is now our only choice, and we’ve always used it. We can agree with the change because it has more horsepower and almost the same gas mileage (the 45 and 40 engines are only separated by one mpg). The Premium and Premium Plus groups have a lot of nice things.
