2023 Volvo S60 Overview What’s new? Minor changes to the inside and outside designs A new infotainment system that is powered by Google and has USB-C ports instead of USB-A ports Core, Plus, and Ultimate have replaced the old trim levels. In 2019, the third generation of the S60 came out. The S60 is Volvo’s first-level luxury sedan, a very stylish car. The inside is made of high-quality materials, and the seats are simple but elegant. The Swedish sedan handles well and has some of the best and most advanced driver assistance systems. The V60 wagon is based on the S60, but it has more space for cargo and a unique look. Volvo made several changes to the S60 for 2023. Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription, which were the trims before, are now called Core, Plus, and Ultimate. In the new trim levels, the order of some features has changed. Volvo also showed off three packages for the outside of the car. They are called Dark, Bright, and Black Edition. A new Google-based infotainment system with Google Assistant and Google Maps is also added to the S60 (a navigation system). Many companies need to make this kind of entertainment system. Volvo’s most noticeable change to the outside is the exhaust that is now hidden in the rear bumper. The company also changed the console on the roof. The S60 is an exciting and well-rounded alternative to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Audi A4, and the BMW 3 Series, the three German cars leading the segment right now. Most people who want to buy a small luxury sedan don’t choose the S60 first. Additionally, it is the only vehicle in its category to feature an efficient and potent plug-in hybrid drivetrain. Pros vs Cons Pros Seats that are very comfortable and good for your back The power and range of the plug-in hybrid model that can be bought are impressive. The sound system from Bowers & Wilkins is excellent. Cons Irritation caused by a touchscreen interface Less space in the trunk than most other cars. What is Invoice Pricing's Recommendation? The Plus trim at the middle level is the best deal regarding price and features. It comes with all of the same features as the Core trim, in addition to leather seats and Volvo’s Pilot Assist, which is an advanced driver assistance system that makes use of adaptive cruise control and a lane-keeping system to maintain a predetermined distance between the Volvo and the car in front of it. The Plus trim’s parking camera system and front and rear parking sensors make parking much more accessible.
