2024 Chevrolet Colorado Overview

What’s New

  • Focus on off-roading and overlanding. Cut down ZR2 Bison.
  • One amount of engine output instead of three.
  • Minor features have been changed.
  • In 2023, a part of the third version of the Colorado will be shown off.

With its new look, technology, and following midsize truck design trends, the Chevy Colorado is now up to date. The Colorado could only come in a four-door cab and a five-foot bed last year because Chevy limited the ways it could be put together. With two- or four-wheel drive, there are five model levels to choose from. A 2.7-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with two different outputs is the only engine that can be bought. The Bison Edition, the new trim for this year, is made for off-roading and overlanding.

The Colorado ZR2 trim can get the Bison Edition off-road tools, which makes it even better. Raising the ground clearance and approach, exit, and break-over angles is meant to make the truck even better off-road. To make the Bison Edition, American Expedition Vehicles gave the truck’s wheels, skid plates, and front and back bumpers. There are 12.2 inches of ground clearance on the Bison’s 17-inch bead lockable wheels, which hold 35-inch mud-terrain tires. There is also a set of tube rocker guards to protect your Bison’s soft belly. The Bison Edition also has the ZR2’s 3-inch lift, wider stance, Multimedia shocks, and locking front and rear differentials, all of which are very important parts.

The Colorado is a better compact car than the old one. However, it could be beaten because it is the first of three new trucks that will be delivered in the next 12 months. It would help if you also thought about Toyota’s Tacoma and Ford’s new Ranger. Both are just as good off-road, have new engines, and have their special features. The Honda Ridgeline is also a good choice if you want a truck that gives up some off-road ability in exchange for comfort, usefulness, and efficiency.

Pros

  • Better engine choices allow for strong pulling and quick acceleration.
  • How calm it is to ride in a pickup.
  • Integrating an entertainment system based on Google is helpful.
  • The ZR2 type can really do a lot.

Cons

  • The basic engine doesn’t have enough power and makes a loud noise.
  • The back chairs feel bad.

The LT trim is the best choice unless you need off-road power so badly that you are willing to pay a big premium. Please add the LT Convenience Package II. This package has a higher-output engine, wireless phone charging, and heated front seats, among other things.

Models of the Chevy Colorado

Chevy’s 2024 Colorado is a midsize truck that only comes in a crew cab with four doors and a small bed (5 feet). There are five trim levels: WT (Work Truck), LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2. Every Colorado has a 2.7-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine that can produce two different amounts of power. The WT and LT come with the base model, which has 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Trailboss, Z71, and ZR2 all come with the highest-output TurboMax (310 hp and 430 lb-ft), but the WT and LT can choose not to have it. An eight-speed automatic engine is the only one that can be bought. You can choose two-wheel drive on the WT and LT but only four-wheel drive on the Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.
