Our Opinion - 2024 Jaguar F-Pace Review

The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace is one of the few SUVs that looks good and drives well at the same time. This luxury crossover from Jaguar is based on the F-Type sports car and has driving traits that make your daily commute more fun. The base model comes with a supercharged four-cylinder engine with 246 horsepower. Still, you can also get an inline-six engine with 395 horsepower that has both a supercharger and a turbocharger. The 542-hp F-Pace SVR (reviewed separately) is the best car to drive. Handling the F-Pace is thrilling, but the ride is anything but soft, which may bother buyers who want a luxury car. Still, the car exudes style thanks to its beautiful design and high-quality materials, such as the Windsor leather upholstery that can be added as an option. The entertainment system, which is housed in a beautiful curved screen in the middle of the dashboard, has all the features you need to stay connected. However, it’s more challenging to use than the systems in competing SUVs like the Porsche Macan and the BMW X3. The Jaguar is more expensive than many of its competitors, but drivers with a strong sense of style will find it interesting because of how well it drives and how beautiful it looks.

Jaguar now only has two F-Pace cars in stock, and both of them are offered in R-Dynamic S trim. The P400 has a supercharged and turbocharged inline-six engine, while the P250 has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All models now come with the Black Exterior Pack, a black headliner, more power outlets, and a heated steering wheel as standard features. If you want to, you can order the Bright external Pack option package and add the chrome external trim again. All models now come with the more advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system, which has built-in mapping, voice commands for Amazon Alexa, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Pros

  • Beautiful outside design.
  • The inside is beautiful and classy.
  • Exciting physics for driving.

Cons

  • It costs more for premium engines.
  • High-cost options
  • Their starting price goes down, which hurts them.

All types of the 2024 F-Pace come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a Jaguar P250 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 246 horsepower. People who want a more high-tech turbo four than the Jaguars give the BMW X3 good marks. The 3.0-liter inline-six P400 engine has an electric blower, a 48-volt hybrid system, and a turbocharger that work together to make up to 395 horsepower. During our first tests of the six-cylinder F-Pace, we noticed that it was agile and sped up quickly. However, the transmission was slow to downshift when passing at speeds other than the sportiest setting. The P400 we tried went from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, but the X3 M40i with 382 horsepower was only 1.4 seconds faster. Jaguar stiffens the F-Pace’s suspension to make the ride more sporty. The bigger wheels (Jaguar has wheels up to 22 inches in diameter) make the suspension move a little more jerkily over bumps, but the ride is always comfortable. Every type of the F-Pace has quick steering, which gives the driver confidence-boosting feedback from the front tires to their hands. It’s fun to drive the F-Pace when you push it hard because it responds so quickly.

You can choose from a range of standard and high-tech driving assistance technologies for buyers who want the newest safety and assistance features. Watch the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) websites to learn more about the F-Pace’s crash test scores. Some important safety factors are:

  • Autonomous emergency stopping and regular forward collision warning both works.
  • As you exit, you will receive consistent lane direction and warnings.
  • It comes with adaptive speed control.

The F-Pace’s interior follows Jaguar’s minimalist design theory. There is a lot of glass for better visibility, and basic features and controls are easy to reach. The driver is in a great position because they are sitting right in front of the pedals and driving wheel. The front and back seats are also raised for extra comfort. The F-Pace has some of the most spacious front seats in its class, with plenty of space and headroom. However, the back seats are only good enough. The center tablet display is easy for both people in the front seats to reach, and the big climate control buttons are simple to use. The F-Pace can take a lot more luggage than its sleek exterior would suggest. The only problem is that there are few storage spaces for people in the front seats. With the release handles in the trunk and on top of each rear seatback, the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats can be folded almost all the way flat. Twenty-two carry-on bags could fit in this space.

A six-cylinder engine is available for the 2024 F-Pace. The EPA says it gets 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The four-cylinder turbocharged engine gets 22 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. A 75-mph highway fuel economy route is part of our thorough testing method. The F-Pace’s turbo-four got 26 mpg, which was almost the same as the government rating. However, the inline-six got 27 mpg, which was better than the government rating.

Jaguar’s newest touchscreen entertainment device is called Pivi Pro. It looks nice and packs important features into simple, well-organized options, but it has a few bugs. The base model has an 11.4-inch curved glass tablet with navigation built right into the dash and wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Every model comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a Meridian sound system with 14 speakers.

The P250 R-Dynamic S is the best deal and performs the best. It has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 246 horsepower. Even though it’s the F-Pace series’ de facto base model, it has a lot of nice features, like a panoramic sunroof, a power-operated rear liftgate, and stylish 19-inch metal wheels.
