The model lineup hasn’t undergone any significant changes, so the 2022 Audi Q3 is a carryover from the previous model year. Only a few things have changed since it was reconfigured for 2019. The Prestige trim level will be eliminated in 2022, and its characteristics will be split between the Premium and Premium Plus trim levels’ Comfort and New tech bundles.

The car handles and steers differently than you might expect. Driving dynamics have improved dramatically thanks to the more nimble handling and more direct steering responses. Superfast turns are safe, but everyday driving is also secure and comfortable. All you’ll get is sluggish performance.

Premium, Premium Plus, and the soon-to-be-defunct Prestige will continue to be offered in 2022. An all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 228 horsepower powers the vehicles. The vehicle has a torque of 258 lb-ft, which is quite impressive. All-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic gearbox are included as standard equipment in every model.

Features available on the Premium trim level include a power liftgate and LED outer headlamps and rear lights. Along with the panoramic side window, there is also a warmed steering wheel, leather interior, 8.8-inch news and entertainment touchscreen, and basic phone app assimilation via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 

The warmed steering wheel is also available. Driver aids such as forward collision mitigating the impact, lane departure caution, and pedestrian identification with automatic braking are all included as standard.

There are even more common components if you opt for the high price plus (which would be the top-of-the-line trim tier in 2022, however the mid-tier cutting level in 2022). There are the front and reverse parking sensor detectors, keyless entrance and immobilizer, and an inductive charging pad in this model’s upper trim levels. More driver assistance features are being added, such as blind-spot tracking with back wheel oncoming cars alert.

The year 2022 will be the pinnacle. The Prestige trim level comes equipped with almost all of what you could ever like, including a larger touchscreen showcase, adaptive cruise regulates, power-folding wing mirrors, an electronic center console, and a high price audio system. Standard equipment also includes a navigation system with voice recognition.

Fuel economy is usually not a major consideration for luxury car buyers. However, if you are one of them, here’s what you need to know about the Q3. The news isn’t good. The EPA estimates the Q3’s combined mileage at 22 miles per gallon. As a result, the third quarter’s numbers are dismal. Almost all other luxury item SUVs are only able to reach the mid-twenties in terms of prices. 

Stronger competitors can achieve combined mileage of over 30 miles per gallon. In real-world tests, the Q3 only manages a combined mileage of 20 mpg in situations such as traffic jams or slow-speed urban driving. As a result, the Q3 came out ahead of the 22 mpg merge mark by many mpg.

The Audi Q3 is the mid-range SUV that competes with Audi’s more expensive models. It’s not a cheap car by any means, but it’s jam-packed with useful features as standard. If you’re only concerned about the vehicle’s underwhelming performance, all other aspects are satisfactory. Audi’s larger SUVs offer more power if you’re after that. However, the Q3 is a viable option if you’re on a strict budget.
