2024 Lexus ES Overview

What’s New

  • Things will have mostly stayed the same by 2024.
  • A part of the 2019 launch of the seventh ES generation.

The ES is Lexus’s middle-of-the-road luxury car. Although it starts around the same price as the smaller, faster IS, it costs a lot less than the bigger LS. Like most Lexus cars, the ES has a comfortable cabin, a great ride, great build quality, and a full set of cutting-edge features to help the driver.

There are three different versions of the ES, as well as luxurious and sporty trim levels. Everyone has their unique style. The standard all-wheel-drive system in the ES 250 gives great traction, which may be appreciated by people who live in colder or wetter areas. People who want to save money on gas will like the 300h’s hybrid engine, which gets an EPA-estimated 44 mpg combined, which is great for a midsize luxury sedan. If you want more power, the ES 350’s smooth 302-horsepower V6 gives you plenty of power across a wide range of speeds and quick acceleration.

For a great deal, the Lexus ES is a great option that costs less than most of its competitors. You should think about the Mercedes-Benz C-Class or the BMW 3 Series if you want a high-end car with more style and power than the ES. There are also great options like the Genesis G70 or G80 and the Volvo S60.

Pros

  • Home decor that is both cozy and stylish in general.
  • Really great riding features.
  • The 300 h hybrid type uses a very small amount of gas.
  • With the F Sport Handling, the car is easy to drive and steer.

Cons

  • You can’t fold up the back seats.
  • ES 250 and ES 300h cars move slowly at first.
  • All-wheel drive is not available on the ES 350.

What does the ES drive? The V6 is strong across all of its rev range, and it speeds up with both power and ease. Its well-balanced driving makes the ES 350 more stable around corners. The ES moves better than you might expect from a luxury sedan, even though the tires don’t have the best maximum grip.

The ES is fun to drive around town because it speeds up and changes gear smoothly. The ES’s smooth engine makes it feel like it’s just floating around, even in city traffic.

How cozy does the ES feel? Isolation and comfort are two things that ES is known for, and neither has yet to be sacrificed to make it easier to handle. The front seats are supportive and comfortable, and there are no side supports that get in the way when getting in and out. Take a look at how the F Sport’s sports seats are shaped and bolstered. The back seats are just as comfy, even though they are a bit flat and big. You will be energized from sitting in the front or back for a long time.

In the same way, the new ES 350 can still handle dents and road rash. At fast speeds, there is more wind noise than we would expect from a Lexus. This could be because the car blocks out tire and road noise so well, making the wind noise stand out more. It’s hard to hear the engine. On cold days, it would be nice if the seat heaters heated up even more.

How is the state of the inside? With its low seat padding and wide doors, the ES is easy to get in and out of. Also, there’s a lot of room between the front passenger panel and the door panels. There is a lot of room in the back seat, especially between the knees and the back of the seats, even for people who are six feet tall.

The ES’s power-adjustable seat and mostly clear view should let drivers of all heights and body types find a good driving position. The volume knob is great, and it feels like an old radio receiver.

What is there to do with technology? The beautiful 12.3-inch navigation screen was put in the car we tested. The color contrast and markers on the widescreen navigation maps make them look great. The screen can be touched, and speech commands can be used to manage the phone, music, navigation, and even the temperature. It comes with a wireless connection, so you can use your phone with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The ES also comes with a number of standard driving safety features, such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance, that help keep the car in its lane.

How is the storage situation right now? The 13.9-cubic-foot trunk of the ES 350 is big enough for golf gear and bags. The back seats don’t fold down, so you won’t be able to load longer things either. There is a lot of room inside to store small things. Even though the door pockets are small, the cup holders are great for holding water bottles or drinks of different sizes.

Do you have kids? The bases for car seats are easy to get to, and there is plenty of room to put in child safety seats.

How well does the fuel work? The ES 350 is one of the most fuel-efficient midsize luxury cars on the market. It gets 26 mpg on average. Of course, you can get the hybrid ES 300h if you want to save even more gas. We got an average of 27.3 mpg on our test run.

Does the ES have any value? The ES offers a level of quality that people want at a price that makes sense. The ES cockpit is a nice place to be because it is well-designed and made of high-quality materials. Lexus always pays attention to the little things, like fine sewing, buttons that don’t click too hard, and panel gaps that are just right. The fabric is smooth and strong.

Luxury materials, lots of space, and comfort make Lexus cars a good value for the money. Some rivals start at the same level, even though they are not all at the same level. When it comes to warranty coverage, it’s on par with other brands, but the experience at a Lexus store is hard to beat.

It could be more exciting to drive the ES 350. Inside and out, the ES is a work of art, and it’s meant to appeal to a wide range of users. With its well-balanced suspension and pleasantly robust V6, the ES 350 can offer that comfort while also letting loose every once in a while.

Most people will be happy with the Luxury trim, even though the F Sport Design and F Sport Handling trims offer more style and speed. It costs the same as the F Sport trims and comes with the Premium package. Instead of an athletic look and feel, you get more comfort features, such as real leather seats, wood trim, ambient lighting inside, more driver-seat changes, and a power rear sunshade.

Models of Lexus ES

The Lexus ES 2024 comes in three different styles: the ES 250, the ES 350, and the ES 300h hybrid. It comes in five trim levels for each model: basic, F Sport Design, F Sport Handling, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury. There is an all-wheel drive on the ES 250, but there is only front-wheel drive on the ES 350 and ES 300h.
