2025 Lexus ES Overview

The 2025 ES is Lexus’s luxury car. For the same price, it’s far more affordable than the larger LS and slightly larger than the sporty IS. The ES boasts many high-end choices for the price, large seats, and a pleasant ride. In 2025, there will be a new Black Line style package. It adds black trim elements to the outside of the ES 350s with the F Sport Handling package.

There are three basic models of the ES that are available: the 250, the 350, and the 300h. Each has its advantages and a similar beginning price. Despite having the least power, the 250 comes with an all-wheel drive, which is useful if you frequently drive in inclement weather. According to the EPA, the 300h hybrid achieves 44 mpg on average, which is excellent. If you want power, consider the 350. It features a 302-horsepower V6 engine. We apologize, but there is no all-wheel drive 350 or 300h.

The Lexus ES is in the middle of the midsize luxury automobile class. Even though it costs more, the Audi A7’s 335-horsepower V6 engine is more powerful than the ES’s. If you prefer a sportier ride, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series are excellent possibilities. The Genesis G80 is another alternative. It is reasonably priced and includes all of the standard features.

How does the ES drive? We tested out the ES 350. The V6 is robust throughout its rev range, and it accelerates quickly and easily. The ES 350’s well-balanced steering helps it maintain stability as it navigates corners. The ES performs better than you might anticipate for a premium sedan despite the fact that the tires may not have the finest maximum grip.

The ES is nice to drive around town since it accelerates and shifts gears easily. Even while traveling through towns, the ES rides smoothly and easily.

How warm and comfortable does the ES feel? Isolation and comfort are two characteristics that ES is known for, and neither has been altered to make it easier to manage. The front seats are solid and comfortable, and there are no bulky side supports that make getting in and out difficult. (The F Sport’s sports seats feature a more muscular form and side bolsters.) The back seats are equally comfy, albeit a little flat and large. You will not become tired from sitting in the front or back for an extended period.

Not only that but the newest ES 350 is still durable enough to withstand dents and scratches. At highway speeds, there is some unpleasant wind noise, which is unusual for a Lexus. However, this could be due to the car’s ability to block out tire and road noise, making it stand out even more. There’s not much engine noise. On cold days, the seat heaters would be useful for providing additional heat.

What condition is the inside in? The ES’s low seat cushions and large doors make it simple to get in and out. There is also a significant gap between the front passenger panel and the door panels. Even for persons who are six feet tall, the back seat provides plenty of legroom, particularly between the knees and the back of the seats.

The ES’s power-adjustable seat and mainly unobstructed views throughout the vehicle should allow drivers of different heights and body types to find a comfortable driving posture. The volume knob works perfectly and feels like it comes from an ancient stereo system.

What is wrong with the technology? The 12.3-inch infotainment screen that came with our test vehicle was just magnificent. The widescreen guide maps appear wonderful because of their high color contrast and labeling. Touch the screen and use vocal commands to control navigation, the phone, music, and even the temperature. It features a wireless connection, allowing you to use your phone with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A number of safety technologies, such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, are included as standard equipment on the ES. These systems are meant to keep you and your passengers safe while you are driving.

How is the store’s situation? The ES 350 has a 13.9 cubic-foot trunk that can accommodate sports bags and gear. It is also impossible to load longer goods because the back seats do not fold down. There is plenty of room inside to store little items. Despite the fact that the door pockets are small, the cupholders are ideal for holding various-sized water bottles or drinks.

Do you have any kids? The car seat bases are well-placed, and there is plenty of space to attach kid safety seats.

How much fuel does it use? The ES 350 is one of the most fuel-efficient midsize luxury vehicles on the market, with an EPA combined rating of 26 mpg. Of course, you may opt for the hybrid ES 300h if you want to conserve even more gas. We scored a solid 27.3 mpg on our test outing.

Does the ES have any value? The ES is a nice-looking luxury automobile that is reasonably priced. The good materials and design inside the ES cabin make it a pleasant place to be. As is customary with Lexus, the inside features exquisite stitching, buttons that don’t press too hard, and panel gaps that are just right. The cloth is durable and smooth.

Lexus vehicles are competitively priced for the high-quality materials, ample room, and comfort they provide. Many of their competitors start with the same amount, but they do not. When it comes to warranty coverage, it is comparable to other manufacturers, but the experience at a Lexus dealership is unparalleled.

It could be more exciting to drive the ES 350. The ES is designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of drivers, and it exudes excellence both inside and out. However, its well-balanced suspension and pleasantly powerful V6 allow it to provide that degree of luxury while also allowing you to let loose on occasion.

Most individuals will be satisfied with the Luxury trim, even if the F Sport Design and F Sport Handling provide more style and better handling. The pricing is the same as for the F Sport trims, and it includes the Premium package. You don’t get athletic styling or handling. Still, you do get extra comfort options like genuine leather upholstery, wood trim, internal ambient lighting, more driver-seat adjustments, and a power rear sunshade.

Types of Lexus ES

The 2025 Lexus ES is available in three different styles: the ES 250, the ES 350, and the ES 300h hybrid. Each model has five trim levels: basic, F Sport Design, F Sport Handling, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury. The ES 250 has all-wheel drive as standard. The ES 350 and ES 300h are exclusively available with front-wheel drive.
