Whatever changes are made to the 5 Series could hurt its success, even though BMW has made a great new car. This luxury car looks and feels modern thanks to all-new styling on the outside and inside. Upgraded powertrains should give it more power and better gas mileage. As a first for this model, the hands-free highway driving system is one of the newest tools BMW has put into a car and one that helps the driver. BMW has been making improvements to its cars over the past few years, and the new 5 Series model uses all of those changes. When it came to the upgrade, the timing could not have been more ideal. In every way, the new 5 Series is better than the old one. The new design on the outside is interesting, but it doesn’t have the ridiculously big and controversial grilles that other new BMW models have. It has one of the best interiors of any midsize luxury car on the market today. It has a clean, high-end look and feel that is a lot like the bigger (and recently redesigned) BMW 7 Series. We think that’s a good thing because it makes the 5 Series feel more like a smaller 7 Series than a bigger 3 Series. We also really like a lot of the new BMW’s most cutting-edge technologies and features that help the driver. The Audi A6, Cadillac CT5, Genesis G80, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Volvo S90 are all strong rivals. There are good things about each, but the redesigned BMW 5 Series is hard to beat if you want a luxury car that meets almost all of your needs. If you want an electric car, the new BMW i5 is a good option. It’s basically a 5 Series with an all-electric engine. Pros vs Cons Pros A smooth ride and easy driving. We like how powerful the 540i’s turbocharged inline-six engine is, but the 530i is the best deal of the 5 Series models. Its four-cylinder engine is better for daily driving because it has more power and uses less gas than its six-cylinder counterpart. Most of the time, both types are the same. Types of the BMW 5 Series There are three trim levels of the 2024 BMW 5 Series medium luxury car right now: 530i, 530i xDrive, and 540i xDrive. The 530i models have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 540i xDrive has a 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine that makes 375 horsepower and 384 pounds of torque.
