2024 Toyota Camry Overview

What’s new:

  • 2024 won’t change.
  • The Camry will be replaced next year.
  • Our Camry is the eighth-generation.

People may know the Toyota Camry best. The famous 2024 Toyota Camry is a midsize hybrid or gas automobile. We like the Camry because it has a large trunk and enough space for two rows of seats. The Camry has all-wheel drive, but it’s not fun to drive. It is better for cooler climates.

This Camry will be discontinued this year. Redesigning the 2025 model is expected. Waiting is understandable. The Toyota Camry 2024 is an excellent midsize sedan, even if the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata are newer.

Pros

  • High MPG
  • People and items fit well.
  • It’s user-friendly.
  • The automobile has all the typical driving aids.

Cons

  • Rough four-cylinder engines are noisy.

How’s the Camry? Four-cylinder Camry SE testing. Toyota made it sluggish yet gas-efficient. Our test car reached 60 mph in an uninspiring 8.2 seconds but appeared more energetic in real life—the transmission’s fast shifting and responsiveness helped. With eight gears, every scenario has a bag. When you step on the gas, the automobile will downshift twice to use its power.

Faster suspension makes the Camry SE feel more secure. It can handle typical driving, even if it’s not meant for reckless driving. The Car’s brakes are average for its class, and the pedal is light and responsive.

What’s the Camry’s comfort? The Camry’s large seats and smooth ride make it suitable for extended travels for various users. The Camry’s robust, easy-to-use climate control can chill the car in triple-digit heat. Passengers are comfortable.

The Camry’s main issue is outside noise. The motor hum and wind noise are audible at highway speeds. The Camry is noisier than other midsize cars.

The interior? The Camry’s interior is modest but functional. The house’s light and simple access are excellent. It’s spacious and visible for front and back riders. Optional 360-degree video helps you navigate busy parking lots.

Big gauges and labelled controls make the interface straightforward. They’re simple enough for non-techies to use. The driver can readily reach the radio’s volume and tuning buttons, but passengers can’t.

Tech quality? The Camry supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The 7-inch navigation and 9-inch optional touchscreen are easy to use and read. Higher-end models have navigation. Three USB ports and a wireless charger should power everyone on the trip.

Every Camry has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. It has lane-keeping, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. For 2021, these methods are less sensitive.

Are you storing things? The Camry is an excellent midsize load hauler. 15.1 cubic feet is the class’s most enormous trunk. The entry is large, and the liftover is low. The trunk release levers fold down the 60/40 split rear seat for more extended objects.

Houses have various hiding places. The wireless charger has a sliding compartment underneath it and a little storage space on the left side—a middle seat storage container. Parents who buy a Camry will like that the back seat fits car seats and the straps are easy to reach.

Is it gas efficient? The four-cylinder Camry SE earns a class-leading 32 mpg (28 city/39 highway) from the EPA. We averaged 33.7 mpg on our 115-mile city-highway test drive. Invoice Pricing found 29.8 mpg in a 2016 Camry SE after 33,000 miles.

Is a Camry smart? The Camry is reliable, fuel-efficient, and unremarkable. The Hyundai Sonata and Mazda 6 have more features and are more sociable. Its appearance and texture are appealing without reducing its use.

Toyota warranties and after-care are typical. Powertrain protection lasts five years and 60,000 miles, while the basic warranty lasts three years and 36,000 miles. Even though it’s worse than Hyundai and Kia, most companies are in the same scenario.

Camry SE is not. It’s fun to drive, even though it’s not fast. The Camry’s design shows that tiny automobiles can be stylish.

We recommend SE. It is affordable, efficient, and comfy. A panoramic sunroof and blind-spot recognition with back cross-traffic alert are also attractive additions.

Camry models

The 2024 Toyota Camry will have six model levels: LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XSE, XLE, and TRD. The XSE, XLE, and TRD can choose a four-cylinder or 301-horsepower V6 engine. The four-cylinder engine allows all-wheel drive.
