2022 Toyota Sequoia Overview

The 2020 Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV with a lot to offer. Despite its large interior, this vehicle is equipped with a powerful engine that can get it through almost anything. Sequoia is an excellent illustration of how modern components may be employed to improve the overall driving experience, as Toyotas are renowned as technology-packed vechiles.

The Sequoia’s main modification for 2022 is the addition of a new trim level. As the name implies, the Nightshade Special Edition is a cosmetic upgrade for the Limited model. The Nightshade, as its name implies, features a darker colour scheme and a more angular design. In comparison to the Limited, this model costs $1,000 extra.

There are six different levels of trim for 2022. Budget-conscious buyers will appreciate the SR5’s lower price tag as the most affordable option. It nevertheless has the capabilities, size, and amenities to please a large number of people. If you’re looking for something a little more sporty, the TRD Performance is the next step up in trim. Since it comes with leather seats, chrome interior accents, and a much more comprehensive electronics package in the Limited model, it goes a step further in terms of refinement.

The Nightshade Deluxe Version, Platinum, and TRD Pro models make up the upper half of the lineup. The Nightshade’s dark wheels and dark leather upholstery make it stand out from the crowd. In addition to that, the Platinum boasts ventilated leather interior with heating or air conditioning in the front, as well as a premium infotainment system, which raises the price significantly. The TRD Pro, on the other hand, is more athletic and tougher than the Platinum. Advanced shocks and a special set of TRD Pro wheels are all part of the TRD Pro package.

In spite of their reputation for being practical cars, Toyotas can nevertheless be a joy to drive. A best in the world V8 engine powers the Sequoia. It’s a capable component, with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque on offer.

The Sequoia should be able to transport a lot based on these stats. I think that’s a reasonable guess. In terms of towing capability, the Sequoia is comparable to many pickup trucks in this area.

The 2022 Sequoia comes standard with a rear-wheel-drive system. When accelerating, the SUV does well thanks to the power going to the rear wheels. All Sequoia levels come standard with a four-wheel-drive system. It’s possible to lock in the system’s limited-slip centre differential. As a result, the SUV is better able to handle tough roads. Because it’s designed for folks who want to test the limits and are likely to get into bad weather, the TRD Pro is really only available with 4WD.

A lot of work has gone into Toyota’s current vehicles, which feature a variety of high-tech features that consumers are quickly becoming accustomed to. Satellite radio, smartphone compatibility, various charging connections, and a 7-inch touchscreen are standard on every Sequoia. On the Limited and above models, navigation is standard, and it’s an optional on lower trims. JBL speakers can be added to SUVs with higher trim levels to improve the sound quality.

The Toyota Sequoia’s powerful and sturdy nature makes it a fantastic first impression. It measures 205 inches in length and rises to a height of about 10 inches off the ground. It has a max cargo space of 120 cubic meters when all of the rear seats are reclined. For a car in its price range, the Sequoia has a unique selling point in this regard.

The Sequoia has enough room for passengers’ legs. The legroom in the front is generous, measuring 42.5 inches. With 40.9 feet of legroom in the second row, and 35.3 inches in the third, even the most cramped of passengers can find enough space to sit comfortably. In the third row, most models let you choose between a rear seat or a set of captain’s chairs. It is possible to fit eight passengers in the SUV with a rear seat, however, the captain’s chairs reduce that to seven.

The 2022 Sequoia’s New Toyota Sense P (TSS-P) can keep an eye out for potential hazards for drivers. To avoid hitting another car or person, the car can detect impending frontal crashes, warn drivers, and even apply the brakes if necessary. Advanced cruise control and blind spots are also included in the truck. Another set of standard features includes a rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and a sonar technology that helps drivers prevent parking dings and scratches.
