2022 Toyota Corolla Overview

The Toyota Corolla has been around for a long time. It is, in fact, the twelfth generation of this vehicle. Its sleek design and worth for drivers are partially the reason why this vehicle remains popular today. The Toyota Corolla of 2022 will carry on this tradition.

Corolla owners can expect to see Android Auto as a standard feature by 2022. Rear-seat side airbags are also being added to sedan models. The Apex Edition is a newer, sportier version of this model. Other than that, there aren’t many noteworthy alterations in store for 2022. Since the current Corolla generation began in 2019, it is neither surprising nor alarming.

The 1.8L four-cylinder powering most 2022 Corollas will be standard. It has the capacity to produce 138 horsepower and works well with its standard CVT. The 2.0L four-cylinder engine in the SE and XSE larger datasets horsepower to 169. Six-speed manual transmission is available.

The fresh Apex Edition is powered by the same 2.0L engine as the previous model. This vehicle has a lower center of gravity and an updated withdrawal. Summer performance tires are available as an add-on for this model year. With its dark and bronze exterior trim, this model turns heads.

There are five basic trim levels available for the Corolla sedan. Only two body styles are offered for the hatchback. There are LED headlights on the sedan L, as well as a slew of other cutting-edge technological and safety features. The LE, which is only accessible as a sedan, adds features like heated side mirrors and automatic climate control.

The XLE is just a top-of-the-line Corolla sedan. Those who purchase this model will receive features such as move start, heated front chairs, a moon roof, and more that enhance the driving experience. A sedan or hatchback body style is available for the SE trim level. Substantially larger and athletic front seats are just two of the vehicle’s more athletic features. However, some of the XLE’s interior upgrades are omitted from the SE.

The SE Nightshade is another option to take a look at as well. Which has the same functionalities as a standard SE, but the wheels and other exterior elements are blacked out in an eye-catching manner. In order to combine the achievement of the SE with the extravagance of the XLE, consider the XSE, which is offered in both body styles.

Toyota finally relented and added Android to the Corolla after decades of only trying to offer Apple CarPlay as standard. The LE’s infotainment system is accessed via a 7-inch touchscreen. When it comes to standard technology, these characteristics are just the suggestion of the iceberg. There are at least two Connecters and Bluetooth and a Wireless internet hotspot on all models.

Updating to a touch interface is available on the LE model. For models that go up in price, a third USB is now included. Toyota equips the XLE, as well as XSE,as well as XSE trim levels with a 7-inch electronic driver display for a much more upscale interior experience. Additionally, these models have HD radio and the option to upgrade to a nine-speaker sound system.

The 2022-21 Toyota Corolla is an engine that will be in high demand for many years to come, based on its design. It’s a great daily driver thanks to its impressive gas mileage and generous standard features.

The Corolla gets 30 mpg in the town and 38 mpg highway with the 1.8L engine and CVT. As a rule of thumb, a more powerful and larger engine is less efficient. The 2022 Corolla, on the other hand, does not have this problem. The 2.0L gets 31mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway, which is better than the 1.6L. Those are impressive figures. The Toyota Corolla Hybrid offers even greater efficiency.

Corolla’s high-tech safety features are one of the most appealing aspects of the vehicle. Lane change warning and the emergency braking are standard features on all models. The less popular examples are also available, at least on trim levels below those of many rivals. Some of the standout features are adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and lane change assistance.

Blind-spot surveillance and rear pass alert to the LE is an option that’s  just one step above the baseline model. Adaptive headlights are an option on the XLE and XSE trims. With these adaptive headlights, drivers can take advantage of how the weather affects visibility.
